Fan sharing with Headliner.fm – punk bands needed

Headliner.fm is a service enabling bands to send messages to other (similar) bands’ fan base on MySpace, Facebook and Twitter. You need “band bucks” to send promotion messages to other bands and you get band bucks when you accept posting other bands’ messages. The idea is good, the user interface is slick and easy to use, but currently the selection of punk and poppunk bands is quite limited and since we’d only post messages from bands that we like, we can only hope that more good bands will join soon. So, if your band is interested, sign up here.

The latest news is that the new look of MySpace, also known as Project Futura, will launch on October 15. Continue reading

Sharing music on Facebook with Bandcamp

Recommending music on Facebook to your friends has just got easier with Bandcamp’s latest cool new feature. It is now possible to embed the Bandcamp player in your friend’s wall by just copy-pasting the URL of a track or an album, or using the Share link on their Bandcamp page. People can listen to the music without leaving Facebook, they just have to click on the album cover and it changes into the player.
So why not try this right away with sharing the last Bankrupt album with your friends? 😉 (Read more about this here.)
